Harvest Moon

I met up with the DC Social Flickr group last week to shoot the full harvest moon. This year’s harvest moon happened to fall on the autumnal equinox, and was set to rise in perfect alignment with the monuments. Though thick clouds meant that the moon was only visible for a few minutes, it still had a distinct orange glow that symbolizes the start of fall — Washington, D.C.
